What to do when the world knocks you down...

Probably the one of the best monologues of all time.

Watch it this time. Dont skip it. You know who you are.

To turn the music off on my blog. Click the little pause button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.

Killin it.

Seahawks beat the Rams in a super nail bitter. Went to Chem.

Enironmental Science quiz tomorrow. Going to rock that too.

It is colder than steel in an ice storm over here.

Nicely made bed is calling my name

Car Rides

On my way to Pullman again.

In the car with Dalton and Cheyenne. We are talking and narwhals were brought up.
Dalton dropped this gem "Narwhals- the unicorns of the sea"

It's gonna be a good car ride

Thursday is such a good day

I like Thursdays. Nearly Friday!

Played football with the floor mates. We are 2-0 against everyone we play that are only living in dorms. We dont lose. Our QB is too good.

Ate food. that is key, went to class, that is key

Just a snip of the concert we got.

I look forward to tomorrow. Chem in the morn. Then ENV SCI lab at 11. I have to present a poem to my lab about clean energy. Might as well drop it here:

Renewable energy is out future
But resources are becoming fewer

People try to develop new solutions
The idea that resources will last forever is an illusion

The future is in sustainability.
But environmental collapse could, due to our pro- environmental inactivity.

Wind energy is safe to utilize.
It has no negative environmental effects.
So society needs to take these next steps.

To promote clean and sustainable energy is the goal.
To reduce emissions of dirty things, like coal.

The world is fragile and needs to be cared for,
Clean energy is key to stop this environmental war.

I hate presenting.

Goodnight.

James

Wednesday is too fast

Because I couldnt post yesterday.

Some cool school stuff. Chey went to chem with me. i had a lab. did lots of hw.

Drove to Spokompton.

To see Macklemore:

Twas amazing.

Maybe I will post a video I took of him performing.

The arena actually had a time that the concert was supposed to be done. but macklemore was on his third encore I think and he had to stop and be like "they want us to stop performing""we gotta go"

but then he was like "i'm the boss, out with the system"

and he continued on for much more time.

I fell in love.

More later

Tuesday Blues day

Today I had my trio of classes. Was sad while taking a shower this morning because of all the Homework I have this week....

But.....

I get to see Macklmore tomorrow!!!!

I completed my chem essay today, my chem pre- lab.

Then tomorrow I am gonna cut it close.

I had chem tutorial from 2-3.
Then lab from 3-4:30.
leave at 5 to Spokane.
1 hr and a half hr drive.
that 6:30.

Then line up early because Cheyenne wants to get a prime spot for the concert.

I have lots of math due thursday. starting now, any free time tomorrow, and all day thursday.

Do it for the fun stuff though.

So far the week is going well.

The best worst day of the week

Pokemon had taken over my dorm floor. Perhaps the university.

Monday occurred.

I took Cheyenne to my chem class to help me understand.

I ate far too much food today.

Think I had five meals.

In recent news:

We lost our TV since the guy who let us borrow it moved into his fraternity and left...

But our room has maintained the level of "everyone wants to hangout here"

Which means....

they love us....

We are heroes.

But sometimes I wanna be alone to study.

I have been writing an essay all day for my chem class, and this guy on my floor wants me to send it to his email. I do not condone this. So I told him I would but I am gonna tell him that they run the essays through a plagiarizer checker with the other essays. I am too nice and non- confrontational to tell him no. I bet my parents do not approve of push- overness.

Whatever. I do what I want.

In other news:

Dalton, my good friend, lives across campus, but he is looking into moving into my dorm since all our friends live here and its cheaper.

Hopefully that happens I like Dalton.

I saw Rachel briefly.

So much HW due this week.

Night

A lovely weekend

Twas a lovely weekend-- so far.
We started with hangouts, then off to the birthday parties,
sleep followed next, we awoke with a hearty
breakfast. (Enjoy half- rhymes and syllables that arent equal)
Today it was work, followed with football,
then we watched the cougs get decimated by the Ducks.
(No rhymes there because it was sad)
Now I am tired, looking for rest,
This weekend--so far, was by far the best.

Amen

Day is going well so far. Environmental Science lab in 30 mins.

Listening to Black Eyed Peas.

The sun is out.

New sweatshirt:

From Macklemore's The Heist Album.

TGIF.

Restful weekend coming up.

Until later

'tis time

Chem test in one hour.

Pee my pants.

Update to follow

Well looky there...

I actually remembered to post late at night after a mid day post.

I just hung out with Bose (chey's roommate) and did chem studying for about 4 hours in the secret spot of studying.

we also got a pizza delivered. it has tomatoes on it.

I had lunch with a sister Rachel Webber at Southside dining hall. It wasnt very good food.

That was good.

I wrote essays,

I listened to this song about 25 times today:

Dont skim over and read this sentence. Click the link. Turn down my blog music and listen to that song.

Now continue reading.

I did laundry. I was kinda slacking and was just wearing the same jeans over and over.

But no one is gonna judge.

I have just noticed I really spread my sentences out when I write on my blog because I dont write in a usual paragraph form. I have lots of lines. Like an EE Cummings poem.

But I make sense.

How could I make a meme relate to something that has happened to me today?

Close enough. It has a VW so thats good enough for me.

Goodnight my lovely world.

Give me a call when you read this. I am not good at calling, but I am good at talking.

Looking ahead

I met with my adviser today.
Set up a tentative schedule for next semester.

Here is what we laid out

Com102- Public Speaking
Math 171- Calculus 1
Chem 102- Organic Chemistry
Geo 303- Environmental Geology
Geo 315- Water and Earth

Jesus.

I am not here to slide by. Challenging myself is what I am here for.

Public speaking, I hate doing that. Better get over it now I guess.

Calculus is calculus so that sucks.

Chem 102 I hear is the one class that ruins people's lives, so thats awesome.

Then the two fun classes.

I have a chem review tonight.

Right now just listening to Colplay and killin' essays.

More later.

If I remember

Has it always been like this?

Has the world always had a lot of problems?
Politically?
Socially?
Environmentally?
Is it because of the ever- increasing complexity issues that arise in the "globalized" world we live in?
Seems like because of complexity there lies more issues and problems we find ourselves faced with.
How to create more sources of energy for example. Why not change the way in which people live?
I don't think people like to change the way they live, but only until recently have people lived so comfortably.
I would be willing to live in a simpler time. A Tom Sawyer time perhaps.
I just think people have all these issues with the world because they are chasing things that cannot be changed and trying to solve problems which cannot be solved.

I dont know what I am even getting at.

I guess I am suggesting to fix problems instead of bending things to create a solution.

I am writing 4 essays this week. Chem test on Thursday. I have discovered I enjoy writing essays, any topic is good to me. Helps me learn when I write in complete sentences. (and elaborating)

Hawks play on Thursday.

This is my face when I completely understand something in one of my classes:

I get happy for sure.

Goodnight.

You dont post on Monday night.

One more picture:

Pulled from sister rachel's instagram. Jimmy, Myself, Chey.

Sleep time

Suddenly time passed

Dad's weekend came and was gone too quickly.
Hungout and played football with father Jim and the dormmates.
The dormmates made Jim and I very sore.

Then we went to the OSU game and the cougs were doing well. We even were winning at a time.
But then we got killed and our reactions were just like:

So we left. Then we and slept. Then today we went to Old European breakfast. Then the seahawks played the Titans and we won that one.

Go Hawks.

Tomorrow we glide upon massive bird of prey, shooting flaming arrows as we attack the week,

Goodnight.

James

Nose in the books. But they dont even make books. Its really just online. Nose in the laptop.

What a better picture?

Applies to the earlier post.
And has a VW on it.

$Money$

So as of now I am in the Secret spot, and I am studying for my ECON exam which I am allowed one page of notes for (typed/typed.)

Ah.... The vague rules of teachers.

So one page typed. Double sided. No 0.2 inch margins and size 8 font.

Then I am gonna study my ENVI Science quiz I have tomorrow. I got my math test pushed to Friday due to conflicting times with my Chem lab I had today.

Cheyenne is making a blog next to me because I embody greatness and she aspires to be like me. She is the best no doubt.

I miss my dog. This is something Copper would do.

I have decided that when I get out of school and money comes my way I am going to buy a nice camera. Because life has too many awesome moments that are only captured by mediocre iPhone cameras.

Follow her blog if you wanna see her perspective of her experience at WSU:

Goodnight to all

Never stop Improving

People may say that change is bad.
Its not true.
Could you imagine how great the world would be if everyone lived by the ideology of "Never Stop Improving?"

I find it most applicable if one improves them-self.

Which is why I am changing four things:

1. Be assertive
2. Eat food like there is no tomorrow. For focusing purposes, not glutinous reasoning.
3. Spend more time in the Secret Study Spot.
4. Rest. Because I need it, not because I want it.

It is an early day post.

Maybe one more time later.

Well what can you do really?

Lots going on this week school- wise.
Too much to list and still feel okay about,

Besides class and studying I did only two things today

Made my bed

Went to Bird club thing with the friends:

Well I guess I lied. I ate and blogged as well.

Find value in all things

Sunset, easy enough to find beauty.

Chopped up vw bug for art

Cheyenne and I explored the Art building and went into classrooms and offices and random rooms because it seems they never close or lock a single door in the art building during class hours.

Tomorrow is a big study day.
Today is as well.

Go Cougs

Hawkward

Awoke in the early light of morning to witness the Seahawk game.

To my dismay, the dismantling of my precious Seahawks defense by Indianapolis resulted in the Seahawks first loss. Putting our record at 4-1. Though I am impressed we have won this many hard games this early in the season. A lot more home games to come and that is awesome, this was my floor's reaction to the loss today:

Tomorrow we ride on translucent steeds into the depths of Monday

Goodnight

GO COUGS!!!

Well I forgot to post on Friday!

But I had lab and that was great.
Then we all hung out in my dorm and Max came over from the U of I.
I miss that kid.

Well today it was all football.

Watched the Cougs smash the Berkeley Bears 44 to 22.
Excited halloween face for the win!

We are 4-2. Last year we only won 3 games.

Tomorrow is Seahawks vs the Colts. I know it will be a hard game and I am actually scared we will lose it. But ideally I would predict the Seahawks to win 28-17.

Just a shot int the dark.

Goodnight from Pullman,

James

Nearly there now

Pop the bubbly its almost Friday!

Last night I watched this movie called Craigslist Joe. It was awesome. It was about a guy who traveled across the USA, from LA to NYC, only off ads and things posted on craigslist for 30 days. He met awesome people and the generosity of people sure surprised him and even me.

That is why I love people.
People can always talk about bad things because its easy. But where is the good news? Its out there.
But no one is talking about it.
Does it really make sense?

this song ended the movie. I think when I update the blog music, this one makes the list:

Did some math hw, did a little ECON paper writing.

Chem and ENVI sci lab tomorrow. The lab for envi sci is going to not be fun because it is going to be cold and we are working in a local stream cleaning it and cutting down grass.
For three hours.
I just dont want to have cold wet gloves.
I was supposed to get nice ones from sister Rachel today but we both totally spaced.

Seahawks face the Colts in Indianapolis and the Cougs in Berkeley on Saturday.

I will predict potential scores tomorrow.

Goodnight world. Enjoy the happiness things bring you.

The Secret Spot

Father Jim suggest I find a secret spot to study so people cannot find me.

Wise man Father Jim.

No one goes to the skylounge in my hall except to get ice and the occasional RA walking through.

So with a mountain dew and the beatles playing in the laptop, I power through essays, emails, homework.

I hate online school. I go to class in a room. But college classes are based so much online these days. But I assume that is just where the world is at. Online that is.

Why can't we go back to the days of lecturing and a notebook?

Can we (as a society) really call this whole complicating online world we live in progression?

^^^ There should be commas or dashes in this sentence just not sure where.

Sorry just coming off an essay high. If that exists.

/rant

Back to this Skylounge, they have these couches that you can pull apart and rearrange (the colors scream mid 90's,) but my oh my they are comfy to kickback and write in. I think I like to write more than I thought. I enjoy any kind really, If I could write 6 essays instead of taking 3 tests. I would write 6 essays all day.

Comfy chairs.

So tonight I will end the post with a gif and something it relates to:

Me when Cheyenne calls me to open the cap off a bottle:

When I open it I feel awesome. I know other guys feel this.

I am probably making no sense in this post and it only makes sense to me. Happens...

Night

James

Its slips away

Time.
Maybe I have more of it than I think.
Maybe it isn't utilized.
Maybe I truly don't have enough.
Chem lab later today. Looking forward to it.
It is very cold here. It was 39 degrees this morning.
I went to chem earlier then went to the cub for a few hours and did some homework with my high school friend William Nugent. I love that kid.

In other non college related news, NASA discovered a compound on one of Jupiter's moon that can be turned into plastic. Yay for science.

Government is still shut down. Day 2 of the struggles.
May I say I feel the effects.

But I dont. I dont see what the big deal is.
