Wondering

I often wonder how people can just think that they can do something and then just have the drive to do it. I think it is special in life when you can put your mind to something and achieve it. Goals are good to have. And I like achieving them. Keep goals in mind, and attack them.

Delayed Post

I keep so busy, I forget to write on the blog. The relatively limited use of my laptop this semester has also been a contributor to the gaps between posts. I am currently going through dead week. No tests or quizzes, but I still have two papers due. Luckily, for those two classes I dont have a final in the class. I am doing well in all my classes and am only worried about one or two finals, so I am relatively stress free. Just going to study hard and go into the tests with very positive attitudes and dominate those finals. As for next week, I work until Friday, so I cannot come home directly after I am done with tests, gotta work.

I am gonna come on that Saturday morning most likely. Pullman is having a very warm week so far, today is nearly 50 degrees as is the forecast for the remainder of the week. Nice to finally have weather that doesnt hurt to walk around outside.

Seahawks doing well. Cougs football season is over after the Apple Cup didnt go so well. Basketball season is going now so I need to get to a game, Pathetic I havent yet. Going to make that a goal this week (to go to one). As for plans once I graduate, I havent made up my mind yet because I feel like I am paralyzed because I have no direction that I need to go, "indecision is a decision" says a Jimism. Yes I know.

Go Cougs.

Somehow [Break]

Somehow I finished all my work for school. Finals week is supposed to be the last week of class, not the last month of class. I got all my work tied up and finished off. In terms of instant relief and confidence, finishing essays is like cocaine. My brain is fried. I have one last class to attend and turn in a paper, but other than that I am done and coming for break.

Packed up just about ten mins ago. Chey, Rae, and myself are going to be heading out around five tonight. Just in time for the snow to come and throw itself on the road as we drive through the mountains. There was first signs of snow today in Pullman. It must have been coming down softly this morning, but it warmed up, but not by much because now everything has a layer of ice on it (like freezing rain).

Apple Cup in a weekish, the game starts at 7:30, which means the temperature is going to be in the teens for the start of the game. I have already begun to think about ways to stay warm when we smash the Huskies.

Go Cougs.

Let Break begin.

Lyfe

Life is a whirlwind right now. Had to say goodbye to Grandma Eileen this week. Horrible. Pullman is colder than ever. There is no snow in the forecast so that does not even make up for the weather being so cold. All my classes have papers due at the end of this week. I have many pages to write before Thursday when I head back early for gma's memorial service. I have written two papers today and that has been pretty much it. Wrote them during class and didnt really pay attention.

As promised, and for documentation's sake, some Palouse Falls pictures from two weeks ago:

Weekend Plans

This week went well. The usual hustle and bustle getting school work done. I still have an exam tomorrow but it is in an easy class so I am already prepared for it. Can you believe we are already in November? This does not seem possible, time is flying by.

Weekend plans though:

sans the sun. shirtlessness.

Still should be fun to go back. Brining hooligans along this time.

Pictures to follow

I always would prefer to let pictures tell a story...

At Moscow Farmer's Market.

I am staying busy with long essays and work.
Rootcanal on front teeth went well. It is still braced though. I played football yesterday with a mouth guard and it saved me big time. Life is going well. Staying focused

Hoodrats

Been relatively busy the past few days trying to get my front teeth back in place. Jumping from one tooth doctor to the next. Today I finally got something done. They braced my front two teeth together so at least one isnt hanging down and they are even with each other. I am going to need more work done to get the nerve endings dealt with.

This are my hoodrats. The two people I spend probably too much time with.

The week is nearly half over. I guess I am thinking positively, its not even Wednesday. I have the feeling I will blogging more often than I have been, I think its because I have been using my laptop more often and I am really in the groove of school.

Not a lot left in the week for me, just class and work. I hear word that some Webbers might be Pullman- bound this weekend. This is something I am looking forward to.

Heartbreak

Last night was a football game I can never forget.

Quite the game. We scored 59 points and our Quarterback threw for 734 yards and broke the college football record for passing yards in a game. It was a crazy game. Despite all the crazy stats, we managed to coug it. We lost 60 to 59.

We had a shot to win the game with 19 seconds left but we missed the field goal. This was taken by Rachel showing the emotion of the last seconds.

This was right after we missed the field goal..

It was nice to have father Jim out here this weekend though. I have to go to work in about two hours so that is a bummer but it was a good weekend.

Oh. yes. I got my tooth knocked out in football too. I had to go to the hospital so that wasnt cool. I have to go to an oral surgeon tomorrow to get it fixed. Bummer.

Sunny Days are gone

Well, maybe sunny days arent gone yet, but they have to be numbered at this point. It is the first day of Fall after all. Pullman is so great during this time of the year. You have classes going, football season in full swing, massive amounts of leaves on the ground.. Crunch crunch.

Classes for me are going well. It seems I have a relative amount of knowledge that is just compounding because the information I am learning is regurgitating when I hear it. I guess that is good though because it is cementing the things I have learned in the past. Most of my classes are reading and lecture based. No online homework, which I love.

Midterms are coming up in the first week of October. I think I will do well on them. There has not been anything in class that we learned that I could wrap my head around. It seems to be pretty self- explanatory information. I have only had a couple essays so far, and I have aced all of them.

Life in the apartments is going very well. As I write this, I am simultaneously writing a little essay for my criminal courts class, and Dalton is doing some financing homework which to me looks like hell. Then again, if he had to write essays I think he would hate his life.

Minus homework, school, sleep, work, and eating... I am not sure I do a lot. We do still play football on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Which is good. We play in an hour. All of our guys are really improving. We started out on very different skill levels but the gap between the skill is slowly closing.

I think I am in pretty good shape right now. I have no idea how much I weigh because I dont own a scale. But I am eating a lot, but that could be because I exercise often and my body is trying to stay alive.

Okay, that is all. I need to stop procrastinating on the essay. I cut my hair an hour ago just to avoid it, next thing you know I will be cleaning my room to avoid it...

Troubles

I havent been really using my computer a lot this semester. All of my homework is mostly reading from a book. Not any online homework. Not to mention my computer is stuck in one spot because the battery doesnt work. I have been pretty busy lately. I am working many days a week doing night time custodian stuff at the dining halls. It is the most laid back job of all time. There is definitely more people employed than there needs to be. But that is okay, even my bosses tell me not to work to fast because then there is nothing to do at the end. The job is literally just sweeping and moping floors but it is a little source of money so I am not complaining.

This Saturday was cougar football!

 Yay
I havent been super swamped with homework because the entirety of my classes are essays. Major essays, so we turn each part in little by little.
Not too stressful.

Sunday Looking On

Week three is just ahead of me. I am really sore today because yesterday we played football. I am going to play in a league that begins in early October but I want to get a team together that is really good. We are practicing a couple times a week. I will probably also begin work in the next couple days.

Will post something of significance later in the week.

Swift Week

The first week of school tends to drag on and on, but give us (the students), a three- day weekend and it changes the tempo of week two. I cannot even recall what happened on Tuesday or Wednesday. Today dragged on and on. That was mainly because I was anticipating the Seahawks game that occurred tonight. Even though I believed we would win, I knew the Packers were a good stout team.

After tonight I am excited to watch the Seahawks beat down on all teams. If the defense could make Arron Rogers look mediocre then we are in good shape. The offense also looked really strong. So many play makers the opposing defense couldnt focus on a single player.

I recently interviewed for a custodial job that occurs at night, I got the job but now I am working on getting some legal documents to Pullman so I can start ASAP. The weekend approaches. Class has been going well and I have just mainly been doing readings for classes.

Cougar football is tomorrow so we will have to stream that game online.
Go Cougs

Apartmentlandia

The apartment has made it through the first week of class and now almost labor day weekend.
I only started one kitchen fire. Now I have all of the women that Dalton and I like to keep around doing the majority of cooking. I mean I can still microwave things right? We got internet and cable so we might be the coolest kids on the block.

The Seahawks play on Thursday which is exciting. Our fantasy league is also going.

Classes for the first week were rather easy. I have to do several readings tomorrow but nothing that I cannot handle. Most of my classes are essay and reading based.

Dalton and I are going back in time and he is playing Golden Eye on the Nintendo 64. The graphics are so bad it makes my eyes bleed. We are also playing Pokemon Master trainer (which is a board game). We need to get lives. But hey, we played football on the turf fields today which was good. Our throwing arms hurt because we are out of shape.

Year Two: Day One

Year two, the final year, is upon us. I had three classes today on this fine Monday. Women studies, poli sci, and a crmj class. Dalton and I are still trying to get internet and goodies from a provider. Right now we are stealing our neighbors until we have our own. I am looking forward to a new semester. Of course, I am also looking forward to a new year.

Its funny how little I used my laptop over the summer. My screen has a row of dead pixels. Want to get that fixed. Also, my computer doesnt believe that the battery is a real Dell one so it wont work. These are things I need to get fixed. Probably this weekend. I hope Dell just sends me a new computer. They might be better off seeing as how this one has had three HDs in the last year.

Once Pullman and school get into full swing I will ave more interesting things to post about.

Adios,

A Miracle

A miracle happened today. I got access to my apartment. It finally happened. Yes I know, hold the applause.  Only draw back is that I took the moped there and it has been pouring all day. I mean it is straight dumping right now. So I got drenched, and that is never fun. But it is finally done. Amen.

Its the most plain place ever. I dont care. The dorms were plain. I am not a picky man. I mean I lived in Rachel's back room/ closet thing for five weeks so I can live anywhere.

Rain rain go away. Mostly because I get wet.

Not a lot happening in Pullman. Just counting down the days till I can go home and work.

Isnt life a great thing?

A lonely Weekend

Well I have had this weekend to work on my final essay. But then again I have all week to do it. So naturally I became so bored, I would entertain myself with my homework. So I have several million words worth of my essay already completed. I have spent most of my time in either of the two coffee shops downtown, stealing WiFi this weekend. Its a sad existence. Tomorrow rent is due for my apartment which I wont even be living in. I have to call tomorrow and see what their preferred payment type is. If it is check, I have to bike to Moscow and get a cashier's check. If they do cash I will be so happy because then I can just go to a close ATM machine and pull money out.
Its Father's day today. I sure wish I wasn't in a coffee shop several hundred miles away from my family. I miss them. I really just miss human contact all together. I talk the most and interact the most when I am in class. Its definitely come to the point where class is the best part of the day by far. Only five more days until class is over. The thing I fear most is that my teachers will cancel class as we near the end. What would I do if I didn't have class to go to? Study? No. I have nothing to study. Its my paper. But I will probably finish that tomorrow or Tuesday. Netflix during "finals week." Probably going to happen.
Cheyenne's brother gave her a bike to take to Pullman. But its kinda a basket-case. Its got this beautiful orange paint on it. It needs to be redone kinda bad. Its a road bike which will be good for Pullman. But its also a single speed fixed geared bike. I haven't ridden one in recent memory, unless I count little sister Sarah's first bike she got in like 2001. Its the kind of bike where the pedals spin the entire time you are riding. Apparently this kind of bike is all the rage in the hipster scene. So I am going to redo it for Chey for her birthday.
Got some funky straight bars on it now, but drop bars are what I think I will put on it.

Going for something kinda/ sorta along these lines.

Hope it turns out well. Chey wanted to design it, I said ok. But I am not gonna let her see it until the end.

Dad and Dalton (+ anyone else who wants to see me) are coming to pick me up at the end of the week. Plus we got to put all our junk in the apartment. Should be good to get that done now rather than later.

Not much planned this week. Probably nothing note worthy to post unless something amazing happens during the week. Adios

One To Go

Only One paper left. Thats really all I have next week. There are lots of ALIVE students here right now. I was one of them just a year ago. Funny how much can happen in a year. College year one has zoomed by at warp speed. I dont see next year slowing down any.

Right now the World Cup is going on. I am sitting in the CUB and there a million people standing around. Literally the most I have ever seen. Mexico and Cameroon are playing. Mexico scored two minutes ago and the entire CUB was screaming. Its funny how into soccer people are.

I just miss football.
Only 84 Days until Week 1.

Surprise

Chey came and surprised me. We had an awesome day and my birthday was awesome. We biked around in between my classes. I got to open some presents. We played Frisbee golf. We walked around campus. We watched ducks and other pond critters do their thing at a pond. We got a tent. We camped in the front yard with a fire and everything. Pretty good day.
