Cold Ears and Noses

It was super cold this morning and I had to walk deep into campus to get to Thompson Hall at nine am, It was like 10 degrees. Plus that wind....

So I get to my UCOLL class. And the teacher, one of the nicest ladies, wants us to discuss our personalities and we are sitting there, all 10 of us (because its a super small class) just dead quite and looking at her like:

After ten minutes of painful silence and some mumbling between a few of us. She asks us to share. Not the best way to start the day off. But then I came back to the dorm and ate, then had an amazing CRIMJ 205 and an awesome POLISCI 427. Talked about drugs in 205, then about the Cuban Missile Crisis in 427.

I like it.

Then I got Cheyenne flowers because I am good like that.

Then I did reading.

Now I eat pizza.

Soon I sleep.

Adios.

The Alchemist

I have this book, the Alchemist, that I am required to read for my class. I needed to have read it by the 6th. So I read it all in five hours because it is really really good and I couldnt stop. It was the bomb.com.
I suggest you all read it.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Alchemist-Paulo-Coelho/dp/0061122416

Get it on e-text. 5 bucks. Super good book.

So I spent a little time on that today, and then people started getting my excited for the Superbowl this sunday. My oh my this is exciting that the Seahawks get to play in the Superbowl.

The Weekend- 100th Post

The weekend was pretty fun.

Friday night was pretty fun. Just hungout in the dorms with friends. Saturday morning we played some football outside. It was cold. I am now very sore because I ran a lot and used some muscles that I havent used in some time. The intramural league starts pretty soon. Saturday afternoon Dalton and I ran to Walmart. Then we watched Shawshank Redemption. The girls cried a lot and they decided it was a good movie (prior to the movie starting they were all rather reluctant.) Then today I did some CRM J 101 homework. Went to Walmart. More CRM J 101. Sister came home from Roslyn and I saw her for a few minutes tonight. Overall, I'm just preparing for the week.

Pictures, not any really good ones this weekend. But might as well anyways.

We re-arranged Daltons room. It was messy in there.

I think this is my 100th post on my blog. Almost bought a party hat in celebration.

How to Read

How to read:

Open up a book.

Now you're reading.

It was a foggy night in Pullman yesterday, I couldnt get my camera's settings to work properly at night and it was 20 degrees so I wasnt about to fiddle around with it.

Bryan Hall in it's almighty gloominess

Fulmer the Chem building (which is a pit of hell in-itself)

The good ol' hills of campus

Today was a reading day as well. Didnt do too much. Met with my adviser and talked a little.
They are opening up intramural flag football again and this time it is going down. The team is assembled.
Hopefully we can play football this weekend for fun. I'm gonna try and rally the boys for a game.

Tomorrow I have three classes. They are my favorite classes. Actually I really like all my classes because none of them have 500 people. One class only has 8 people. Hurray for student- teacher interactions!

Superbowl Bound

So the Seahawks game was yesterday... I guess you could say some of us are into it.

Dalton and his girlfriend. Aw so cute

Cheyenne did her eyes in seahawks colors

Andrew and Cheyenne

 Very attractive

Looking at the computer editing pictures and being bored waiting for the game to start

Board games make people smile

So we played some board games and just hungout until the game started. The game was one of the best I have watched all year. It ended with my favorite player creating an interception and sending the Seahawks to the Superbowl. It is really exciting and it doesnt really even feel like the Seahawks are going to play in it.

Today I just enjoyed the media that was published around last nights game. Then I read some of the books that I have to read for my classes.  I am reading one about foreign policy in a general perspective, Robert Kennedy's journal from the Cuban Missile Crisis, and one that is comparing the liberal and conservative approaches to discrimination and minorities.

I enjoy of of them although one is very tough to get through because it is written in a very difficult style to read.

Short week this second week of the semester. Lots to look forward to. I look forward to classes. I really am enjoying them so far and I love what I am learning. The historical/ comparative aspects of these courses are really interesting to me.

Wawawai

I woke up decently late today and had plans to go to Wawawai park with the sister and I wanted to take some friends.

It was beautiful until about 1 pm today, sunny and blue skies, then at two we went to the park and it was soo foggy.

The road was really foggy and actually sort of scary.

But as we got close to the river it got a lot less foggy

Always bring pretty women when you go on hikes

Exploring the trail

On some cliffs

Super tiny Dalton

Just two men in deep though

You give a college girl your camera and they take a hundred selfies

Yes we are still dating if you are wondering

There was a bunch of cows on the hill behind the cliffs. Moo.

Tomorrow is the Seahawks game. They are playing the Niners in the NFC Championship game in Seattle. If we win, we go to the Superbowl. Huge parties planned for tomorrow. If we win we party, if we lose we party (but feel worse).

Game Nights

So I have been busy finishing the week, buying books, reading them all. Writing essays for next week. Staying ahead of it all.  I havent really played a lot of video games or watched movies or messed around like that. But I have played some pretty fun board games. People got really into the board games the first night so I brought my camera to take pictures of people freaking out during the games.

I like these because everyone is engaged in the game and the pictures really show it. The game gets pretty loud and chaotic. But it is super fun. This was Friday night.
Saturday I had planned to go hang with the sister and go out and about.
