Writing in the MLC

Doing a Political Science essay in the Math Learning Center.

Very Rebellious.

Going to cry when the weekend gets here because I miss it so much. Not that I dont like class. Because I love class. But I like sleep too.

The struggles of a college student are real. And I dont use adderall and coffee like all my peers

Essays

Essays are not that bad really. I kind of enjoy them. Only bad thing about my Foreign Policy class is that he likes us to write our essays single spaced. He doesnt care about word count, he wants page numbers. So his ten page final paper is more like 20 pages. Well at least the one I am doing now is only six.

We lost the game last night. Maybe I post highlights maybe not.

It was fun doing football, but I would much rather doing a more backyard style game.

I post later.

Oh another week rolls by

Its Monday again. I here I am. Sitting in the library writing an essay for my foreign policy class. It is snowing a lot today in Pullman. I met with my academic adviser and am getting ready to sign up for classes for the next fall. I have to do some ridiculous "Junior Writing Portfolio" to be able to sign up for classes next year because WSU requires it. Seems lame and not beneficial to learning anything. I mean honestly, if you have made it to your Junior Year in college, you probably have amazing writing skills. Whatever I will do it, Pass it with flying colors and they can put a check mark through that on my file.

So lots of papers and talking to my professors this week, I have to interview a bunch for my UCOLL class, even random teachers. I am talking to an English prof tomorrow. Then I need to meet my foreign policy teacher to have him preview my essay that is due next week, then I need to interview a CRM J professor. But I plan on just doing my CRM J 205 teacher since he is the coolest prof I know.

Football playoffs start tomorrow. Kinda hoping we lose so I can just be done with football because I have a lot to do this week, but our team's competitiveness will probably make us win.

Watching the Colbert Report again these days so I know what is happening with the world. Well at least the world outside Pullman...

Sore

I am so sore. Not sure if its the 50 push ups I do everyday or the football. Oh! Football:

Look at the verticals on these boys. Chey cut the film but it tipped into our guy's hands:

Andrew has some good hands to go low and get this ball:

Yours truly with a TD run

Money

The Me show. Ah such touchdowns:

More and more:

Excuse the bad pass we only needed a couple for the first

One more TD:

But defense was not so hot. So we didnt win either of the games but I played very well so I was pleased.

Thanks to Cheyliyah for taking pictures:

Arms are sore. Very sore.

Body is all sore.

Now I am reading a book on the mistakes in which the government made mistakes during Vietnam. People sure did mess it up didnt they.  Easy for me to say once it happened. Guess that is why the title is In Retrospect

Class tomorrow? I am excited.

But seriously dont be afraid to call me sometime. I get busy and the day flies by and I forget to call.

Keeping Time

The world is like a fine tuned watch. And so is Pullman.

Its this giant system. All these moving parts. All these plants and trees growing all over the place. Up the sides of buildings on campus and all the fields outside campus. Then you have all these people. Going which and what ways. No one really knows where the rest are going but there we all go in separate directions. Its kind of mad really. There is so much going on, so many places so close but I will never go to them all. There are so many people. Then there is so much to learn. So many minds in one place makes this a special place I guess. But a watch does not only have all these parts, but it serves a purpose to. Keeping Time. I can't help but love what Pullman is. Not what is has, but what it is. This collaboration of minds and ideas that represents so many people. Special really.

It does have it's downsides, however. There is so much going on, there is so much to miss. From big things like events that are being put on, to little things like just enjoying the littlest parts of campus that bring aesthetic appeal to this place. There is so much to do and so little time. The only reason time exists is so that everything doesnt happen at once. But time flies when I am here in Pullman, but I feel like I am missing out on so much. I dont miss out on reading books though. I do plenty of that. Plenty of class. I write "extraordinary drive" on just about every piece of paper I have to remind myself that those who are the best at anything are only the best because of their extraordinary drive to be the best.

These are things that I am learning about here besides school. I am driven in just about everything I do these days. Some may not believe it, but I have actually stopped the biting of nails all together, and they are beautiful and not chewed up. I have written a novel. Not really. But I do read, I do write.

I may not call enough though. But you can still call me. Anyone? Is anyone out there? I swear I write and laugh at my own words, and I and maybe two others are the only ones to ever see these things. It is a rather strange idea here, the Blog that is, because although no one is really reading, there is millions who if they wanted to could. But I guess the life of some cougar kid is rather boring.

Thanks Presidents

Thanks a lot Presidents of the past and current. Because of you I got to sleep in today. And I felt the freedom flowing through my veins and the pride of being an American was pulsing throughout my body. Since today is Monday, I need to do some school work. So I have been sending emails and planning the week out. Both Dalton and my roommate Brendan went home this weekend to chase some girls around, they are stuck on the west side because the pass is closed. Its snowing like crazy in the pass. So I am being their guide with up to the moment updates of conditions of when it shall open. Other than that, I am sitting here with a big pile of Cheetos listening to "this magic moment" by the Drifters. It reminds of the Sandlot. Ah.... The bliss.

Last night I wiped the dust off the old camera and took some pictures of the fort we made.

Ahhh the college days...

Maybe post later. (But probably not. Who needs two-a-day posts? and its essentially Sunday night, nothing fun is gonna happen.

Absenteee

Long time no post. Well really only a week.

Not a whole lot happened this week, just did a lot of reading and essays. Talked to some professors. Valentines Day came and went. Just hungout with Cheyenne and watched the movie called "About Time" I recommend it very much. Quality movie. Been watching some Harry Potter movies this long three day weekend. I just freed up my time because I finished my last essay and homework. Sighhh...

It has been very sunny here in Pullman, a little rain here and there but overall it has been around 40 degrees.

It is lovely.

I shall post soon again

First of 23

It is the first weekend of the past 23 weekends that there is no football on Sunday.

Seahawks are world champs.

Got a pennant. It was 3 bucks had to do it.

Last night we went sledding down a hill by the observatory. It was so much fun. Here is an instagram we got of us at the hill. It was snowing a lot:

Fun indeed. If you look behind us to the right, you can see campus is getting dumped on with a large amount of snow. Today I helped my sista change a tire, we put the spare on, which was also flat, but we filled it up. Then I wrote an essay, I have another essay to write tomorrow. I gotta do FAFSA soon as well. Valentines day is coming up and I need to think of something to do with Cheyenne. Should be a solid week coming up.

Had family dinner at Rae's house. But none of the other related Pullman family came so I brought friends. It was  a jolly-good-'ol time. I loved it.

I have started to end my habit of biting my nails. I feel less stressed this semester. I don't chew my hands off in the summer time because I feel no stress of school. But I am not feeling to stressed with these classes I am taking either. Its either that or I have replaced this habit with another in which I haven't yet realized.

That is good.

I am really enjoying classes. I dont just enjoy them, I look forward to them. Its an understatement.
I honestly enjoy being in class more than being in the dorms, or playing video games or doing anything else. I wish I was taking more classes so I could keep at it. I enjoy writing and it is tons of fun.

Adios cuz

You're a blizzard Harry

In combination of the large amount of snow and the large amount of Harry Potter movies I have watched as of late, I must post the title as such.

Pictures of last night: I witnessed a car accident (just a rear-ender) because of snow all over the place:

Hurray for adventures with the lovely Cheyenne Cortesi. Snow snow snow. I went to my only class today and that was great. Talked to a sister on the phone for awhile. Then more snow adventures:

Only today was much colder, even though it was earlier in the day when I was out and about:

Very snow. WOW.

Intramural Football Day #1

So it was in the low lows of temperatures when we played flag football today. So naturally I bundled up. I was covered up in all but my hands, because I needed to catch the ball. I caught 4 touchdowns overall between two games. The first game we got blown out because none of us knew the rules and we kept stiff arming and trucking the defense. Lots of penalties. Lots of suffering. The next game we came and blew them out. Caught three TDs in that game. Along with an interception. I am not a fast player. But I am quick and have decent hands. Only reason I can make plays. Even though I was bundled up I got beat up and bloody a little. I had shorts over sweats over leggings. I am very sad that I put a hole in my running leggings because they are very nice and expensive. So hopefully I can get one of the girls to sew it up for me. It was painful to take them off because the leggings actually melted into my skin and were connected to the wound. Ouch...

I am very excited to play again. Going to make some plays this week and have a practice or two, or three....

I should have done this last semester too.

Cheyenne said she would come next weekend to take videos. I can post them here.

Here are my melted pants. Soon to be fixed.

Warning! Kinda graphic.... lol not too bad though. the burn is kind of bad though. I didnt even notice I got hurt until I came back and cheyenne pointed it out.

Yesterday was my roomate's birthday, so I made him a cake.

Such fun

Ate it in bowls because no one had plates

Camera shy roommate

Happy times

That is all. I am gonna be sore tomorrow.

Adios mi compadres

When it gets below 0

I am usually not one to complain about the weather, as long as it varies every once and awhile. In Pullman, this is very much the case. Hot in summer, snow in winter. I enjoy the extremes. May I just say however, when it gets below zero and it is mid day, I want to die. You can only spend about five minutes outside, and you cant take a deep breath because the snot in your nose will literally freeze and cause you to cough. It is so cold, if you do not wear a hat to class in the morning, you will regret it (trust me I learned the hard way. Walking to class with my hands over my ears.) The best part is that tonight I have my first intramural football game, and it is gonna be around -4 degrees when we are playing. So I am planning to have about 7 layers of clothes on me.

I am doing some hw right now. Writing some papers about law and drugs. I think it is pretty interesting.

Oh, you can subscribe to the blog via email now, under the picture up top is a place to enter your email.

Today the seahawks are having a parade through Seattle and I just saw that about 700,000 people are in attendance to watch them pass. Thats a crazy large amount of people.

Maybe post later if I survive the cold.

Having a World Champion Weekend

This weekend was a wonderful World Champion weekend.

Let us begin.

Friday night was kind of sad because Dalton left back to Puyallup so I was stuck with all of the ladies. Such a struggle.... I know. So we began watching the Harry Potter movies, since one of us had never seen any of them. So we watched a couple of those.

There is a new iphone game called Flappy Bird. People got addicted:

Then Saturday I helped Chey clean the dorms for her weekend job. The that night we, well honestly, I cannot remember what we did. I think we played in the snow or something. But I was very stoked for the Superbowl, so I was mostly concerned for that. I had two dreams that night, one was we were blown out by Denver, I woke from that all sweaty and sad. Then I had a dream we lost to them in a close game. Bad night. Oh wait, I remember we made decorations for the game.

Here are pictures:

Sunday was game day. The Superbowl was not even a good game. It was a bunch of commercials with Seahawk highlights in-between.  Then after we were crowned, which I am sooo happy about. It is awesome to be world champions.

*tear*

the x- factor

Someone  in our dorms made this:

It snowed a lot too this weekend

Looking forward to the week. Went to the library today. Got some reading and notes done.

Call me. We should talk.
