The Struggles of Technology

I hate computers. They make life so easy. But also so dang hard. They work when you want them to, but fail when you need them the most. They are like the friend who is always there until you need them really bad. 

So here I am today. Knowing I can easily pump out a 2000 word essay today before midnight. So I start and around 1000 words my hard drive decides to fail. Oh thats awesome. Halfway through. The stuggles are real. 

SO! What do I do? I call Cheyenne and complain about it. She then went and called DELL and got me a new harddrive and some free "inconvenience gifts" because this is my second harddrive since July. Lame

So I am burnt out mentally now. I have written over 3000 words today all about police and their relationship with inner- city individuals. I am so done.

I ate with sista Rae and Chey at SouthFork Restaurant. It was delicious.

I cant believe I am even typing for pleasure at this point.

Today went by pretty quick. I had my presentation in my first class. I planned none of it and did it all on the spot. I have gotten pretty good at that since high school. I got 100% on that. Then I had to skip my CRM J 205 class because I had to go and see my prof for poli sci about the paper that is due tomorrow. Then I went to my last class and got some extra credit because so few people showed up. 

After class Dalton and I continued on our mission to try and find somewhere to live for summer.

Essay Week

I have some papers due this week. One on Wednesday and one on Sunday. 

I am doing the first summer session here from May to June. I am going to take Juvenile Corrections and Criminal Theory. I am trying to find out where I am going to live. The dorms are only a little bit cheaper than they are during the normal school year. I am also trying to have my lease extended so maybe I could live there. Ah who knows. I went to see if I could extend my lease but they closed ten minutes before I go to their office.

 I think someone new moved onto the floor over Spring break because one of the guys said that someone moved in over break and Dalton and I just saw him come out of the room. We will see 

Just played catch. My arm is so from the throwing the ball so far.

Right now I am writing an essay about political parties and how the modern parties have restrictions that have been put in place and I discuss how they overcome these changes and so on and blah blah. Very boring. Essays are usually easy but since I dont know that much about political science terminology I am finding myself looking up every other word I am reading. Good thing I only have to take one more poli sci class once I finish this semester. 

I then have another essay due Sunday for my crm j class about police culture and how the street has influence on the officers, and the whole crime culture. I am going to start that on Wednesday once I finish the Poli sci one.

Tomorrow I have a group presentation on the idea of "making bold decisions." It should be really easy. Only thing is our group never met, but we each are making one slide of a power point and talking about what we think is important. 

This week is sort of busy with really just the things I have talked about. I have to see both my professors about the two papers. No biggie. Just going to make sure they are A papers

It is a sunny day here. I wore shorts and it was beautiful. I didnt have class since the only one I had was canceled because our paper is due Wed. Lovely. 

Even though it was near 60 degrees today. It is supposed to snow Thursday and I am just like:

Sunny Day

It was a beautiful day here in Pullman. It was sunny from the moment I woke up until the sun set in an epic fashion. I went to class then then the boys and I went to play some football for an hour or two in the upper fields. Then I did some reading and took some notes. I then became inspired to buzz off my hipster styled hair and have others join. After essentially forcing Dalton to cut his, I mean Andrew and I literally dragged him into the bathroom and cut it. Then we cut Andrews as well. Now we all look like Army officers. Its rather classy and we attract all the ladies.

Tomorrow I am hanging with sister and I also have a quiz which is lame...

Into the Wild

In high school we were supposed to read the book "Into the Wild." I read it all in one day because I really enjoyed it. I remember everyone in class said they thought it was awful and really boring and a waste of time. I would put it up there in my top five favorite books. I only reflect on this because last night I finally saw the movie. I like the wild. I miss the trees and the mountains of the West Side. 

As of now, my entire world is contained within a single square mile. I havent left this square mile in many many weeks, I am going mad. Luckily I am running a lot and I am gonna run out into the palouse tomorrow. I just really need to get out of the dorms, out of the dining hall, out of the three halls I stick to each day of class. I do not think I was meant to live in a place without nature. I need to go somewhere where no one else is. 

That will be my goal for the week. 

(plus doing well on my test on friday)

Early last week I took an exam for my online class and only got a 65%. It had to be one of the hardest tests I have ever taken. But once he curved it I ended up getting a 85% on it. Thank god I almost cried. I must have done pretty well compared to my class mates because an 85 is pretty good.

Life

Time gets away from me all too fast. Time is like a grizzly bear running down a hill. It starts out slow then gains some speed. But sooner than later it is running faster and faster and before you know, its tumbling down the hill way too fast and it is uncontrollable. Ah I use the best similes. 

Went to my political science teacher today and showed him my paper and he read it with an expression on his face that said "wow." He even said wow. He said that when I turned it in it was going to be one of the easiest A's he has ever given. I take it as an honor. But it also helps to have editors in mom and sister (who are world class editors).

So I helped Cheyenne rearrange her room today. She is just finishing up and I am blogging. We are playing Coldplay songs through her speakers. They are putting out a new album in May. I look forward to listening to all their new songs. 

While cleaning she found a cougar aluminum water bottle. I am keeping it. 

I just got a twitter. Trying to figure out what that even means... I dont understand it yet. 

I miss Puyallup a little bit. I wish I could be with my family. I feel rather out of the loop as of late. Good thing winter break is coming up sooner than later. But I am not looking ahead to it, I am keeping my head down and I have to attack my classes at full force.

I miss this right now. Copper. Sun. Montana. Family. All of it. I never really get homesick and I just feel out of the loop right now because phone calls only get me so far with whats going on. 

Couple of classes tomorrow. I have to pound out an essay here after I post for my UCOLL class. Easiest class of all time. A 4.0 and I am not even trying.

Off to a good start

Well I never thought that I would be having a great Monday. But here I am. 

My teacher moved the mid term to next week which means I can focus on my CRM J test this week then move to the POLI SCI one next week. Thank you fortune and fate.
