Cross your t’s and dot your lowercase j’s

Quick couple week recap, last week flew by nothing too crazy going on. All news is too depressing so it’s fun to just have fun in the little bubble in the Palouse! That being said we did dip out last weekend and headed to Roslyn

Took a “nice and meandering” bike from Salmon la sac to Cooper lake. A hike we, as a group, have done many a time. Unfortunately we struggled to find the trail head, also had a late start for an 8 mile hike. Toss in taking the wrong trail, and it makes for one very tumultuous time. A little bush wack was hilarious to me but not to all. We ran late and Daltons dad was waiting for us in Roslyn with directions to the house. We ran back the way home for a section and it was much faster. It also was raining. Rosa and the boys came, we played spoons. It felt like vacation for sure! Birthday weekend was fun!

Tuesday I turned 25. Went to work and Chey made me a birthday lunch and we ate in in the van which she decorated. Our apartment was also decorated and she made pasta and some fancy pears! It was super fun and we watched Ad Astra.

The past week was pretty standard at work, just grinding at work. Trying to wiggle my way up the ranks. Always networking and meeting new people. Talking to people is probably my favorite part of the job. This past weekend was a rain weather one so we kept it local.

Went out to a ghost town called Elberton, but some people love out there so I guess it’s not a real ghost town, but some stuff was abandoned which I always find cool.

Past week we also put an awning on the van. Should be nice to have for these next couple summer months so we don’t get cooked so easily in the sun.

Sunday night was an interesting one. Chey and I went to Palouse to ride at their skate park, which is an awesome place. It is a lot better than the one in Pullman. I apparently was having some allergies and itched my eye so bad we went to the ER in Pullman.

Fun way to end a weekend, the eye still doesn’t work that great and hurts to look into a bright light.

It’s June 15th, which is the date my dad and I climbed Mt Rainier two years ago. I always said I was going to write down that experience so that I didn’t forget it over the years. I might start on that after I post this, so that’ll probably be my next post.

Stay livin
